National park Hutovo blato is a swamp, which creates an underground water system of the Krupa river. Its water is supplied from the limestone massif Ostrvo that divides the lakes Deransko and Svitavsko. The National park is a unique oasis in the harsh and stingy karst that is western Herzegovina. Ideal for bird watchers and naturists as well as family trips, because of its richness of freshwater fishes, ducks, geese, coot, hawks, herons, pheasants, wild boars and wild horses.
Later, you can opt for a very brief, but instructive walk along the Educational Path. Entrance to the park will be charged 1 KM per person, there are also available facilities such as excursion areas, caffe/restaurant and motel.
